A former major league outfielder for six seasons, including two seasons as a member of the Houston Colt .45's, Carl Warwick was sworn in as a member of the Board on December 3, 2001. The owner of Carl Warwick & Associates, a real estate investment company that included all aspects of the real estate business, Warwick also owns and operates Questar Travel, a travel agency that is mostly involved with corporate travel. He is the former Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Major League Baseball Alumni Association, which raises over $800,000 for charities across the USA. He founded and chairs the Milo Hamilton Golf Classic Golf Tournament, now in its 15th year. He also founded the R. E. "Bob" Smith Award, the most well-known and prestigious award recognizing the outstanding college baseball player each year. Warwick is a member of the Board of Directors of the Karl Young Baseball League, a summer baseball league for college players in Houston and sanctioned by Major League Baseball. A native of Dallas, Warwick attended Texas Christian University. He signed a professional contract in 1958 with the Los Angeles Dodgers and reached the majors in 1961. He was a member of the World Champion St. Louis Cardinals in 1964 and played for two more seasons before retiring as a player in 1967 and founding his company. He is a member of the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame and the TCU Baseball Hall of Fame. Warwick has been married to Nancy Hensler Warwick for 44 years. He is the father of two daughters and has four grandsons. His hobbies are: Grandsons, golf, fishing and working with little league teams.
