The Boys Are Back in Town! The U.S. Men’s National Rugby Team, the Eagles, will host the Scottish Rugby Union at BBVA Compass Stadium, an AEG Facility, on Saturday, June 7, as one of the only international matches being held in the U.S. this year.
Individual tickets start at $20 and are on sale or by calling 888-929-7849. Advance $20 parking passes are also for purchase online. Tickets are also available at the Ticket Office, open Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Group tickets are available to groups of 15 or more by calling 713-547-3055. No Suites are available for this event.
The USA vs. Scotland matchup offers rugby fans a great opportunity to witness Scotland – currently ranked ninth in the official IRB World Rankings – face off on American soil against the Eagles, who are currently ranked 18th. The teams have previously met up in the 2003 IRB Rugby World Cup in Australia, where the Eagles fell 15-39. Should the Eagles qualify for the 2015 IRB Rugby World Cup in England, they will be placed in Pool B with Scotland.

Local Bars & Pubs Invited to Participate in USA vs. Scotland Pre-Game Competition at the Budweiser Rugby Fan Fest Event on Saturday, June 7
BBVA Compass Stadium announces the inaugural Rugby Pub Showdown as part of the U.S. Men’s National Rugby Team vs. Scotland World Cup Preview match at BBVA Compass Stadium on Saturday, June 7. The contest, which is open to local bars and pubs, will take place in the Budweiser Rugby Fan Fest Zone hosted by Rod Ryan from 94.5 The Buzz located outside BBVA Compass Stadium. A panel of celebrity judges will score teams participating in the rugby challenge course.
The top three teams will be recognized on stage by Rod Ryan at the Budweiser Rugby Fan Fest and receive an award and prize pack. The winning organization will be recognized on-field during the rugby match.
Each organization must register in advance online at www.bbvacompassstadium.com. Organizations must be registered by Saturday, May 31 to participate in the Rugby Pub Showdown.
Organizations will be judged on Team Theme and Pub Pride. Team Theme includes the overall appearance and costumes, as well as music, chants/songs and involvement with the Fan Fest crowd. Pub Pride includes the number of tickets sold, pub club attendance and participation in the rugby challenge course.
All participants will receive:

SCOTTISH RUGBY UNION ANNOUNCES TEAM ROSTER FOR MATCH AT BBVA COMPASS STADIUM
Scottish Rugby Union head coach Vern Cotter announced the 27-man roster for Scotland’s match against the USA Men’s National Rugby Team on Saturday, June 7th at BBVA Compass Stadium. The match will mark the beginning of Scotland’s 16-match countdown to the 2015 Rugby World Cup in England.
Scotland is made up of professional players for teams across Europe with nine coming from the 2014 RaboDirect Pro 12 finalists Glasgow Warriors. Six uncapped players were named to the team, and Cotter is expected to announce the team captain in coming weeks.
Scotland will arrive in Houston on Monday, June 2nd with team practices taking place at Houston Sports Park (HSP). A complete schedule of media availability, photo opportunities and community events will be released next week.
