HOUSTON AEROS RELEASE 2011-12 SEASON SCHEDULE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HOUSTON (AUGUST 18, 2011) --- The Houston Aeros, the 2011 American Hockey League (AHL) Western Conference Champions and primary affiliate of the National Hockey League’s (NHL) Minnesota Wild, today announced the team’s schedule for the 2011-12 season in conjunction with the AHL. Opening Day is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 9, when the Chicago Wolves visit the Aeros for a 5:05 p.m. game at Toyota Center. The entire schedule is available online by visiting www.aeros.com. The Aeros will play 76 games this season (38 home, 38 road), all against Western Conference foes. The home schedule features 16 Friday and Saturdays in addition to 15 Sunday games for a total of 31 weekend contests at Toyota Center. Friday and Saturday games are scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m. Most weekday (Monday-Thursday) games will begin at 7:05 p.m., while most Sunday games have a 5:05 p.m. puck drop. The first West Division matchup of the season is set for Friday, Oct. 14 at Cedar Park against the Texas Stars. The Aeros then host the San Antonio Rampage on Saturday, Oct. 15 at 7:35 p.m. before traveling to Oklahoma City for a 3 p.m. game against the Barons on Sunday, Oct. 16. "Our schedule for the upcoming season provides our fans with a weekend-heavy slate at Toyota Center," Aeros President David Burke said. "Our rivalries with the Texas Stars and San Antonio will get even more intense with fan friendly home dates and plenty of opportunities to follow the team on the road." Aeros season tickets can now be selected and purchased online at Aeros.com by placing a $100 deposit. Once your order is processed, an Aeros ticket representative will contact you to choose your exact seat location as well as discuss the payment option that best suits your needs. Single game tickets go on sale in September.

• The 8th Annual Aeros Military Appreciation Night on Friday, Nov. 18, versus Texas. • A post-Thanksgiving game against the Texas Stars on Friday, Nov. 25. • The annual Kid’s Day Game, presented by Lepow Dental, on Thursday, Dec. 8 at 11:05 a.m. • A post-Christmas game against San Antonio on Monday, Dec. 26 at 7:35 p.m. • A New Year’s Day matchup against Oklahoma City at 5:05 p.m. • A Super Sunday Showdown on Feb. 5 at 12:05 p.m. versus the Milwaukee Admirals.
