HCHSA LAUNCHES Q’D UP.

Astros Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell inaugural guest

HOUSTON – Sports is, well, more than just a game.

It’s part of our everyday life; our culture. It’s been there in good times and times of crisis. It’s been a unifier, a distractor, a responder and a healer. It’s helped us through tragic events like 9/11, Sandy Hook and Hurricane Harvey.

But today, in the midst of what might be the biggest crisis of our time, it’s missing.

As a result, the Harris County – Houston Sports Authority wants to help fill that void and bring some normalcy back into our lives and our community by launching a new locally-based weekly sports show – Q’D UP – that will catch you up with current and former Houston athletes and sports personalities and what they’re thinking about everything, including how each is dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hosted by HCHSA’s Patti Smith, Q’D UP. launches Thursday April 9 at 7 p.m., on HoustonSports.org with Houston Astros Hall of Famer Jeff Bagwell who talks candidly about everything from his proudest accomplishments to changes in the game to his hero growing up and, well, everything in between.
