About the chevron championship

In 2020, Chevron renewed its ongoing commitment to support the Black community in the United States to address barriers to racial equity. Since then, Chevron has continued addressing barriers to racial equity through community partnerships, education initiatives, job creation, and talent and leadership development, including an additional $7 million of increased funding to seven historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs).

In 2021, Chevron became the title sponsor of The Chevron Championship, a Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) major. Chevron intends to leverage this championship to increase the visibility of community partner programs, including HBCU programs.
