USA Weightlifting National Junior Championships

USA Weightlifting has announced that the 2011 USA Weightlifting National Junior Championships will be held in Houston, Texas.
The premier event for athletes ages 20 and younger in the United States, the National Junior Championships are expected to draw more than 150 competitors to Houston on February 18-20, 2011.
“Houston is an excellent city that has hosted countless premier sporting events and we are very excited to work with the Harris County – Houston Sports Authority to host this meet.  Not only is this a wonderful location for our athletes to compete in, but this will be a great chance for Houstonians to come out and see our future Olympians in action,” said USA Weightlifting CEO Rick Adams (Colorado Springs, Colo.)  
The host city of the 2008 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing, Houston has also hosted two NCAA Men’s Basketball Regionals and has previously played host to other top events, including the NCAA Division II Winter and Spring Festivals as well as the Senior National Championships for gymnastics and judo.
