I have enjoyed volunteering with Houston Sports Authority because I get to be involved with great events at a local level! I’ve volunteered with them when they partnered with The SuperBowl, Olympic and Paralympic events, COPA, and a variety of sports events and awards. HCHSA takes care of their volunteers – they give very clear instructions about what to wear, when to show up, where to park, etc. The HCHSA staff removes the guess work which makes it easy and fun to volunteer! The more events you sign up for, the more people you get to know, and then you have a little community of volunteering friends to see at upcoming events! It’s a win-win for everyone!
My thought was, ‘maybe I’ll gain some experience and meet a few interesting people .’ Never could I have imagined I would gain so much more. My experience has been nothing short of amazing.
It’s been a great experience to volunteer for HCHSA! All the sport events not only bring our community together, they bring to the children and everyone in the community to be able to experience it and encourage each other to get involved.
I have been volunteering for years now. HCHSA is an amazing organization that has brought amazing events to our communities. It’s hard to say which event is my favorite since a lot of them have been first time experiences for me. Also you meet outstanding volunteers and interact with so many terrific fans. As a disabled veteran, I wanted to continue helping so I looked into volunteering and have enjoyed every event that I had the opportunity to assist in. Thanks HCHSA
Our great city wouldn’t be able to host so many fantastic events if not for the support of all of our community volunteers. I have made lifelong friends through HCHSA volunteer events. My most recent top event was helping with our 2024 CFP National Championship game and working with our sponsors to help find homes for displaced animals in our community.
Everyone at HCHSA has nicknamed me Mrs. V. I’ve been volunteering with them for 15+ years. My favorite event is Final Four. Volunteering keeps me on my toes and keeps me active. I enjoy meeting new people and helping HCHSA deliver some good southern hospitality.
