Houston’s NRG Stadium and Shell Energy Stadium will host six exciting matches on three dates, including a matchup between Mexico and Honduras at NRG Stadium on June 25, Concacaf announced today when it released the full match schedule for the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup.

Shell Energy Stadium will host a pair of doubleheaders on July 1 and July 4. Tickets for all three doubleheaders will be made available to the public on Tuesday, April 25, at 10:00 AM CDT via GoldCup.org.

Mexico and Honduras will open their respective tournament runs at 7:00 PM CDT on Sunday, June 25 at NRG Stadium. The 2023 Gold Cup marks the Mexican National Team’s 20th visit to NRG Stadium, the most appearances at any venue in the United States. In 2021, Mexico defeated Honduras 3-0 in the Gold Cup quarterfinal to advance to the semifinal at NRG Stadium against Canada.

Haiti will face off against Qatar, the host-nation team of the 2022 World Cup, in the first match of the doubleheader at 5:00 PM. Qatar is returning to the Gold Cup for the second time, following their appearance in 2021 which also featured a match in Houston.

The July 1 doubleheader at Shell Energy Stadium features Group D and is headlined by a matchup between the national teams of Guatemala and Canada. Kickoff for that contest is scheduled for 8:30 PM CDT. Canada enters the Gold Cup on the heels of its first appearance in the FIFA World Cup in 32 years last November. The opening match of that doubleheader will feature Cuba against the winner of one of the Gold Cup Prelims play-in matches at 6:30 PM.

Canada and Cuba will stay in Houston to face off three days later on July 4 in the final match of Group D play for both sides. Kickoff for that match will be at 5:30 PM, followed by a Group C clash between Panama and El Salvador at 7:30 PM. Panama have twice finished as runner-up in Gold Cup play and will look for their first regional title this summer, while El Salvador will look to build upon a Quarterfinal run in the 2021 tournament.
