Texas Public Information Act Requests

The Harris County Houston Sports Authority (“Sports Authority”) provides this portal to assist citizens in making public information requests per Chapter 552 of the Texas Public Information Act.

All requests for records or documents must be in writing. You may submit your request by email, hand delivery, or by mailing your request to:

STEP 2

Include a detailed description of the information being requested to help the Sports Authority accurately identify and locate the relevant materials.

STEP 3

Cooperate with the Sports Authority’s reasonable efforts to clarify the type or amount of information being requested.

The Texas Public Information Act does not require governmental bodies to create new information, perform legal research, or answer questions. The request must ask for records or information already in existence.

The Sports Authority will respond within ten business days to information requests. As the Texas Public Information Act prescribes, we may collect a fee for the requested records.
Be as specific as possible. Failure to provide specific information may result in a delay in fulfilling your request. Not all public records are available in electronic format. If the records are unavailable electronically, we will make them available for inspection or by paper copy in accordance with the Texas Public Information Act.
