Houston to Support Hurricane Ida Relief Efforts atCracker Barrel National Battle of the Bands Presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar Today

HOUSTON, TEXAS (August 29, 2021): Our neighbors from Louisiana are facing great challenges from Hurricane Ida and the Houston community would like to show our support and southern hospitality to those who are displaced and seeking shelter from the storm here in Houston.

 

Event organizers of the Cracker Barrel National Battle of the Bands (NBOTB) presented by Pepsi Zero Sugar are offering anyone who shows proof of residence from the state of Louisiana, two (2) complimentary tickets for today’s show-stopping performances from eight Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) bands at NRG Stadium. Up to 3,000 complimentary tickets will be distributed. Patrons can claim their tickets at NRG Park in the Gravel Lot located at the Southwest Corner of NRG Stadium beginning at 2 p.m. today, Sunday, Aug. 29. Tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and will be limited to two (2) tickets per proof of residency. Show starts at 4 p.m. 

 

Fans of the performing HBCU schools and anyone who would like to support Hurricane Ida relief efforts can still purchase tickets atwww.nationalbattleofthebands.com/tickets, the NRG Stadium Box Office beginning at 11 a.m. today, or by calling 832-667-2390. A portion of proceeds from ticket sales for Sunday’s event will aid in Hurricane Ida relief efforts.

 

Know Before You Go*

NRG Stadium’s Clear Bag Policy will be in effect for Sunday’s event. Approved bags consist of clear plastic bags no larger than 12” x 6” x 12”; (1) gallon clear plastic Ziploc bag or similar; and small clutch purses no larger than 4.5” x 6.5”.  Be prepared to attend the show with clear bags.

 

Face coverings/masks are encouraged while attending the NBOTB event. If you have had close contact with a person diagnosed with COVID-19, please stay home and self-monitor for symptoms and follow CDC guidelines if symptoms develop. High-risk individuals should follow the advice of their medical provider and/or CDC about attending any of our events. Any individual who does not comply with the COVID-19 rules, and the NRG Park health & safety guidelines will not be permitted to enter or remain on NRG Park premises.
