The Lombardi Award, which was established in Houston in 1970, pays tribute to Coach Vince Lombardi by recognizing excellence, character, and discipline in college football. Each year, the award is given to an exceptional College Football Lineman who showcases outstanding performance, ability, and the values Coach Lombardi stood for.

Proceeds raised are dedicated to supporting cancer research efforts in remembrance of Coach Vince Lombardi, who tragically lost his life to the disease. Since its inception, millions of dollars have been raised to advance research programs. The HCHSA is excited to support this year’s event to showcase Houston’s commitment to sports, philanthropy, and community engagement.
